Ive been messing around with 3D models for a while and touching them up with my tablet and photoshop effects to make them look...less 3D if that makes sense?

My main issue with drawing is that unless someone is 10/10 artist, facial wise its hard to covey someones appearance and likeness.

3D models allow me to keep the likeness of the character, and then with the effects I do on top, its as if its a painted image.

Here is a quick test one I done after Playing some Tomb Raider. For something quick, I'm satisfied with the results. Tell me what you guys think. I would love to do more.

Another. Tried to make the paint stroked a bit more obvious this time.

Love it. :-) Keep it up.

I like it a lot so far!

I would suggest some background work though? It would make the image pop out a little more.

these are pretty good! if you want to do background the fast way, just go online and find some photographs that match the setting you are looking for, and then run them through the same process you use for your painted look. that is how i make a lot of the backgrounds in my comics!

Thanks guys. With this one I tried a background. It does add alot more to the image so I think from now on, ill keep the backgound look.

you know there has recently been some neuralnet advancements in transfering art style from one image to another, google "neural style" you can probably automate this.
