“The great Zorba thanks you. That was absolutely thrilling to watch. Your performance has changed the great Zorba’s mind in fact.” Rey’s pain-stricken mind struggled to comprehend what the droid was saying. “You will be given the honor of remaining here, in her chambers for as long as she wishes. The great Zorba would also like to congratulate you, as not many are impressive enough to remain here as his prisoner. Now Jedi, are you ready to begin?”
Rey put the thought together in her mind. “Stay here? As a prisoner? What more can he possibly take from me!” A line of dry spit left her full lips as she spat at the droid. “Tell your master that I will never submit! Soon enough I will break from this cage, kill these pigs and take his head!”
Rey’s fury poured out of her, the weak tendrils of the force growing stronger as her anger built. Reaching out with her mind, Rey’s eyes seemed to change color, if momentarily. The walls of the cell shifted as the mortar keeping the brick burst into powder, spraying the guards with sandstone. Before she could annihilate everyone present however, the droid had one last clarification.
“I forgot to mention Jedi, the great Zorba’s prisoners aren’t alive.” The Hutt in question chuckled and said something else to the droid. “My Master has other matters to attend to but wants you to know he will be seeing you very soon.” The droid then spoke to the Guards still holding her in place and uttered a simple command. “Kill her now but keep her head intact.”
The shock washed over her face, replacing her tired expression.
“Wait no! You can’t! I can…”
Rey’s voice was cut off as the Gamorrean holding her by her wrists swung her entire body up over his head. The pressure on her wrists only intensified as her clothed ankles were grabbed as well. Rey let out a fateful whimper as she felt her spine itself stretch and flex, the powerful tendons and sleek muscles struggling against the overwhelming force being placed on them. A small tear rolled down her face as her skin itself began to stretch and warp. Something inside of her snapped, sending her into a convulsion of unique agony, unfelt by all but the most unfortunate of souls. The bones in her wrists cracked and splintered beneath the skin, mirrored by her ankles.
With a final, desperate effort, Rey tensed her entire body, forcing every fiber of flesh she possessed to turn into bands of dura-steel. Feeling the power of the forPost too long. Click here to view the full text.
